Lokta Tissue Pasted Magnetic

Handmade paper from Nepal. Lokta is strong and versatile. It can be painted on with most media but also drawn on. It can be cut, stamped and of course glued, it is a great paper for paper crafters, collage artists, decoupage and bookmakers, as well as for printmaking. You can use the lighter weight paper to make your own handmade special gift wrap or for other decorative uses. Lokta is made from the Daphne plant. It is seasonally harvested from the base of the Himalayas and grows back each year. It is then hand process and made into pulp, the same way it has been made for centuries. These papers have texture from tissue weight paper added to the base and then hand painted. Wild and wonderful, they are thicker than average, but fun to use. Each sheet is unique.
